Dance: Julio Ruíz- Family

The FAMILIA is an innovative proposal by the dancer and choreographer Julio Ruiz.

From a multidisciplinary perspective, integrating writing, dance, performance and flamenco, it explores family dynamics.

The central figure of the work is the relationship between the three women of the family of the creator, whose interactions have marked the fate and the way of it.

A space where the limits between the human and the animal are blurred.

Through this family story, he invites us to reflect on the inheritance, the power of blood and the emotional legacies that are transmitted from generation to generation.

The project is presented as a personal and artistic search by Julio Ruiz, in which a reflection is proposed on identity, gender, belonging and dynamics of relationship within the flamenco context, opening up new possibilities for gender through a renewed and transformative approach.
