My Idilio with Havana is not just a album, it is a musical journey that Argentina invites to visit, a bridge between two cultures rich in history and feeling. The singer, recognized by her powerful voice and her ability to convey deep emotions, enters into a new terrain, but does so with the mastery that characterizes it. According to the artist himself, “I want the public to feel what has meant my passage through this city, one of the world’s capitals of music on the planet.”
The album has been recorded in various locations, from Havana to different cities in Spain, including Jerez de la Frontera, Seville and Huelva. Each place brings its essence, its color, to the end result, creating a sound mosaic where flamenco intertwines with Caribbean rhythms. Collaboration with artists such as Son de Cuba & Company, the legendary Pancho Céspedes and Plena 79 Salsa Orchestra, the first Spanish group nominated in the salsa category to the Latin Grammy, adds a level of authenticity and diversity to this work. The event at the Teatro Auditorio de Roquetas de Mar is one of the most anticipated moments of the followers of this great Artist.
The repertoire of the concert will include themes from the new album like I asked you, from my love, Idilio, and Guajira Marchenera, among others. Each of these songs reflects the fusion of styles that characterize the album, with lyrics that evoke both the nostalgia of Cuban music and the intensity of flamenco.
It is a dialogue between two worlds, where each chord, each heel blow tells a story of love, love, hope and memory.
With his participation in the Flamenco Biennial of Seville 2024, where he performed last October 1 at the prestigious Teatro de la Maestranza, he has consolidated his position as one of the most influential artists of his generation.
In short, Argentina offers us with this new work a musical jewel that not only celebrates the richness of two traditions, but also opens new doors for flamenco in the world, demonstrating that this art, in the hands of an artist like it, has no borders.
