Descripción

The House of Bernarda Alba, last work written by Federico García Lorca, is one of the great classics of the Spanish theatre. Environmented in a society marked by the strict moral norms of the time, it tells the story of Bernarda Alba and his five daughters after the death of the head of the family, forced to live under a strict mourning imposed by his mother.

Through intense family conflicts, the work explores universal issues such as freedom, repression, repressed desires, authority and social tensions, becoming a profound picture of the human condition and the role of women in traditional society.

The Municipal School of Teatro de Roquetas de Mar presents this dedicated adaptation directed by María Gallardo, which combines the dramatic force of the lorquiano text with live music and outstanding performing and performing work.
