We invite you to participate in this meeting space wherewill discover and experience relations with the sea in a respectful and interactive way.

Ocean Posidonia, the evil so-called algae as evil is called dolphin fish, is a top plant with roots, stems, leaves, flowers and fruits.Like the dolphins, this fanerogamous plant, abandoned the dry land to return back to the sea, and to become a fundamental value without which, surely our municipality would not be what it is today.

At the beginning of the history of Roquetas de Mar, while on the surface the man's hand transformed the environment to his work derived from the fishing and salinera industry, beyond the shatters,Posidonia also continues to mould its environment inexorably century after century. Creating reefs that protect the coastline and which are responsible for our wide beaches and fine sand, continually filtering and sedimenting the suspended matter, thus offering great clarity and providing an ideal environment to house life. These resources are currently essential for the tourism and fishing sector.

Fish, birds, cetaceans, crustaceans, molluscs and Mediterranean equinodermos have their place here. Even the least friendly faces of the sea, such as jellyfish, brunettes, whip stripes, spider fish and sharks deserve their attention. There is no shortage of a representative aquarium of our coast with castanets, anemones, sargos, strellitas, fredis and maidens among others.

Interactive games for all ages: "sounds of the sea", amazing animals, puzzles, "soup of letters" and "toca and discover".

In the Aula del Mar, we also have a convertible audiovisual room, featuring videos, documentaries, lectures and workshops are held for concerted groups.
